If the School is able to sponsor your application, you will be notified by 12 May 2021. Sponsored applicants will then be invited to work with their sponsors to develop their formal Expressions of Interest which must be submitted to the University by 26 May 2021

Please note that this scheme is extremely competitive. In the past, successful candidates have had a strong publication track record and have demonstrated ability to win funding.

It is also important that there is a good fit between the research interests of applicants and sponsors. For this reason, potential applicants are strongly advised to review the research profiles of potential sponsors from within Geography and Planning, Macquarie School of Social Sciences. These can be viewed via the Geography and Planning staff list at: https://www.mq.edu.au/faculty-of-arts/departments-and-schools/department-of-geography-and-planning/our-people
